U.S. Handcycling is a 501 (c) 3 nonprofit organization founded in 1999. Like many nonprofit organizations we rely on the generosity of others to make it possible for us to create integrated cycling opportunities for people of all abilities.
Why contribute to U.S. Handcycling ?
Since 1999, U.S. Handcycling has made great strides in blurring the lines between cyclists with and without disabilities. Today, athletes riding handcycles are seen at cycling events all across the country…but we’re not done yet! Your contribution will make it possible for U.S. Handcycling to put more athletes with lower mobility impairments, on more bikes, in more places.
HOW YOU CAN DONATE:
There are a few different ways to donate, and no matter how you choose to support U.S. Handcycling, it will make a big impact on our programs.
DIRECT CONTRIBUTIONS:
There are two funds available for cash contribution to U.S. Handcycling, and both are are tax-deductible.
|
The U.S. Handcycling Fund. This fund is for general donations that help support our mission through the general operating budget. |
The Warren Strickland Fund. This fund memorializes Warren Strickland, a popular racer who was killed in 2006. Donations contributed are used exclusively to create scholarships for up-and-coming athletes to participate in races they would otherwise be unable to attend due to financial constraints. |

SPECIAL EVENTS:
U.S. Handcycling is all about special events. Our expertise lies in creating integrated cycling events that include something for everyone. We are involved in more than 20 cycling events every year, and annually operate three “owned events” in the state of Colorado. U.S. Handcycling is also a major stakeholder in the Sadler’s Ultra Challenge, known as “The Tour de France of Wheelchair Sports”….an event owned by our partner, Challenge Alaska. All of our events carry advertising benefits for potential sponsors. Feel free to contact us, or check out our calendar if you are interested in supporting one of our events. |
